Mindfulness Full-day Retreat

More and more workplaces are recognizing the benefits of meditation, which include lower stress levels, increased well-being, communication, creative thinking and focus.

This introduction to the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction model will look at the neuroscience of mindfulness and offers several experiential practises. The day will include silent mindfulness over the lunch break and finish with a collection of tools you can incorporate into your daily life, both in and out of the workplace. Guided meditations and a resource package are provided.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat to lie on, with a blanket and pillow if you wish. Notes will be provided in the resource package so that you can more fully experience the practises.

Facilitator:
Jeanne Corrigal is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher, trained by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, and certified by the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has practiced mindfulness for almost 20 years and taught for the last 10, leading classes, retreats, conference and corporate sessions.
