Intellectual Property – Research Associates

The parties agree that any individual contract related to the terms and conditions regarding the treatment of intellectual property which was signed by a member prior to the implementation of this collective agreement and prior to the approval and implementation of a new Inventions Policy and Procedures, will be superseded by the provisions in this collective agreement and the future-adopted Inventions Policy and Procedures.

For further clarity, this does not apply to an individual agreement with the Employer concerning their respective rights in a specific invention produced by an Employee as a consequence of activity that was part of the Employee's assigned duties.
