Family Responsibility Leave

In order to meet the needs of a Research Associate (excluding casual appointments) to attend to emergent, personal or family situations, a maximum of three (3) days of paid leave is available per calendar year and does not accumulate from year to year.

This leave is intended for situations that require attention, but may not normally be scheduled in advance. In emergent situations, the Research Associate will inform their Supervisor as soon as possible, regarding the need to take such a leave. In non-emergent situations, the Research Associate and the Supervisor will consult in advance to determine if and how the request might be accommodated.
